PACKAGED PLUM

By extension, the second crop of the estate are plums. Located mainly along the Orcia and Ombrone rivers, 100 hectares dedicated to the production of Agen variety plums, of which Banfi is the leading Italian producer.

Drying and calibrating take place at the Fruit Center of the estate, and then the product is sent to a cooperative in Modena for packing.

Thanks to the favorable climate conditions during th ripening of the fruit, our plums are very rich in polyphenols and have hydroxycinnamic acid content that is approximately three times higher han the avarage of plums from other Italian regions.
